Days in the making.

Today I started working on drawing my family and their friends. The first person is my grandmother,Nonie. They took this trip to Yosemite Fall in 1926.

 I am starting a piece today and I haven't planned it all out in detail so I will have to see how it evolves. I have an idea of how I want it to feel. The composition and how I make depth of space are really important. Here I go!!!

Today's progress felt weak. I am anxious to put the darks in so that there is contrast. The texture, contrast, and detail will begin to create a foreground.

Started getting some foreground contrast in the trees and some detail behind them.
