Artist's Statement

My work is about what I enjoy thinking about, what I am curious about, and what I am impressed by. The pieces are a result of how I take in information, digest it, and then communicate my perspective. So, the meaning of my work changes as does the appearance of it because I am always changing, sometimes very slightly, sometimes dramatically.

There are two ways of looking at my work. One way is to try an figure out what it is, what it means, why I chose the subject, colors, and composition. The other way is to just look at it for a while and see if there are any connections you can find. How does it make you feel? Do you see yourself in it? Does it remind you of a moment in your time?

  1. I love this blog, and the layout is easy to navigate. Your nature and landscapes make me want to be 'in' the picture, they are very inviting. Your portraits really do capture such character, and personality. Well done! :o)
